Minneopa Redesign Concept

Project Breif
After moving to Mankato, Minneopa State Park was high on my “things to see list.” When I finally went to the park, I noticed the informational plaques were losing their color and could use a refresh. So I took a photo of my favorite plaques and got to work redesigning.
Design Breif
I used the photos I took to write out all of the information that was already available to use on the redesign. I then highlighted in red what I wanted to change. Notably, explaining the bone on the plaque and why bison have those humps on their backs. The color palette I used was all gathered from my pictures I took at the park. Making sure the green hues blended in with the scenery around you. My designs never made it to the real thing, but in the process I learned more about the park, bison, and Minnesota history.
